Switch Plate Designs

Hi I'm Lee Woodruff with the Family Fun minute. Kids bedroom decorating ideas don't have to be expensive or difficult to do. Here are three easy ways to decorate light switch plates.

For a standard switch plate, create an under-the-sea collage with tissue paper. Apply mod podge to a sanded switch plate then press on your tissue paper pieces for the background seaweed and fish. Be sure to cover with mod podge again and repeat until covered. Decorating a dimmer with your child's favorite toy animal will definitely fun up a room. Simply use epoxy, that the parents' job, to attach of plastic toy to the switch. Here's a craft to tell to try current passions. Choose the perfect wrapping paper design, then cut to fit your switch plate. Be sure to make a small snippet each corner. Once you sanded the plate, coat it with mod podge then press on the paper.
