Looking for the perfect father day surprise I'm Lee Woodruff in the kitchen with family fun forget the tie we've got a shirt cake the kids will have a blast making.
You'll need a 9 x 12 x 2 inch cake it can be store bought or home made from scratch or a mix. You'll also need pastel icing the color of dad's favorite shirt, a cardboard shirt box from the dry cleaner wax paper to line the box tissue paper White paper for making a shirt collar into cuffs dark frosting for the tie and candy. Bake your cake and let it cool here's ours all ready to go now were going to box up the shirt line a 9 x 12 inch cardboard shirt box with tissue paper cover with a larger piece of wax paper and flip the cake over and set it bottom up in the box. Frost your shirt then cut a collar into two cups out of white paper to make the collar cut a strip with a small V cut out of the center. Roll it into a ring and tape it. The cuffs are rectangle with candy cuff links the frosting tie is where you can really go wild put it below the point where the collar will be placed and use any colors and patterns you please just before serving, trim away a wax paper add the cuffs and the collar. Finally a shirt that suits every dad's taste.
