Good Morning my name is Mike Schooling. I'm a docent for the San Diego Maritime Museum. We will be viewing our ships today. I will be giving you a tour.
Well, there's a lot of nooks and cubbies of the ship that's really fun to see.
Primary ship is the Star of India, right here. It was built in 1863.
The first one we saw was the submarine. Very tight quarters and you know you walk through these little small holes to get to the next section of the submarine which was very fun for a child.
And then the Berkley is over here. It was built in 1898.
We learned a lot and the kids got to have a lot of fun.
- Kids have a blast exploring this floating museum's historic vessels.
