Hoover Dam

My name is Bruce, I'm your guide on the tour. It takes about a minute to make the trip into the mountain side. We're going down 530 feet. So it's 53 floors down. This is one of the 50 foot conversion tunnels that carry this Colorado River through the mountainside. These branch off of 13 foot pipes that spin the terminal's injectors that make our electricity. Walk down 30 feet or so and you can go right into our new exhibit.

So, this shows how the dam was built and how we make power and get it out to the cities. There's lots of hands on interactive stuff here. It's good for all ages.
