Use a potato to create a Picasso with this easy to make craft. Hi everybody I'm Forbes Riley, I'm Caroline, and I'm Austin, and we're all here at the craft table with Family Fun!
These friendly face t-shirts, they make a great take home party favor. You'll need prewash cotton or cotton mix t-shirts, sheets of cardboard, a potato and knife, stiff paper plates, fabric paints, and fabric paint tubes and markers. First, insert a piece of cardboard inside each shirt. Chop a potato in half, now this is a parent's job. To create an oval or a circular stamp spread thin layers of fabric paint onto the plates and press the potato stamp in. Have your child stamp as many ovals as you'll have party guests and then let the paint dry. If you're planning on making this a party activity, it's a good idea to prepare the shirts for decorating by stamping blank faces on them before your party guests arrive. With paint tubes and markers kids can create a self portrait on one of the faces with their autograph beneath. And, don't forget to let the paint dry and heatset according to the package directions. Who knew your friend's faces could become this year's back to school fashion statement?
