Welcome to the American Museum of Natural History. My name is Brad Harris and I'm the Senior Director of Visitor Services. The museum is a beloved New York landmark, home to the Rose Center for Earth and Space, the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life which is home to our 94 foot blue whale. We have fossil halls, bird halls, halls of reptiles and amphibians. The museum houses dioramas of exotic animals from all over the world.
Look, snake snake!
With a scientific staff of over 200, we welcome over 4 million visitors a year. We have 46 permanent exhibition halls. Additionally, we have 30 million cultural and scientific artifacts.
Dad, look, up there! It's cool! Do you think so?
One of our more interesting offerings here at the museum is the Night at the Museum sleepover program. It's a great way for children to experience the museum at night when certain things may come alive.
This is so awesome!
We came up from Seattle and had a great time in New York. Came out to the museum and it's been fabulous.
- Wow the kids with dinosaurs, the planetarium, and a wealth of "please-touch" interactive exhibits.
