These cupcakes are great for a child's slumber party. This will also work on a standard cake. The kids love to make these modeled after themselves and their friends. I got the idea from a book called Hello Cupcake. It's fun to add your own style to them.

Adding extracts to your favorite store bought cake mix is a great way to make it your own and unique. Try banana or coconut. A pinch of cinnamon is a great compliment to chocolate. Try mixing a box of dry flavored jello to your cake mix. The cake takes on the flavor of the jello and the color too!

How to Make

  • You can make these cute and simple cupcakes by using assorted candies. the kids love to help too. Vanilla tootsie rolls work great. Use food coloring to tint them any color you want. Make sure to use gloves so you don't stain your hands. Microwave candy 5 seconds. roll it and shape it into any design. It's like playing with playdoh! laffy taffy and starburst work great too. Place a marshmallow for a pillow. Nilla wafers make a good face. Use another marshmallow under the blanket for a body. Candies and teddygrams make great decorations. Be creative and have fun!

  • Tips for Taking a Great Photo:
