What I've Been Talking About

A Story About:

Provocative Clothing

November 04, 2007

I am so tired of trying to find decent clothes for my 10 year old. I went searching for church clothes and could not find anything for my daughter. The clothes in her department were the same trashy clothes found in the Junior department. I won't let my child wear clothes like that when she is 16 much less when she is oly ten. I met with the managers of the three stores I was trying to shop (Macy's, JC Penney, and Belk's) and told them I would no longer shop at their stores for anything. I am no longer going to support these retailers that don't carry a variety of appropriate clothing for this age group. If all mothers would let these retailers and disigners know that enough is enough, maybe we can change the clothing industry. I have told my daughter since she was five that she would not be allowed to dress the way other Even at her young age, she knows what is appropriate and what is not. It is a struggle but I am still able to dress her fashionably without the trash. But, moms, its time to take a stand with your daughters and with the industry! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
