About Me
I have a degree in sociology and I love my job at the county college. I am a coffee fanatic and enjoy country music-- especially Toby Keith and Keith Urban. I grew up in San Diego, CA and went to Disneyland often. When my husband proposed, he chose a Beauty and the Beast theme... and my ring was on a rose in a dome!
About My Family
Our little family lives in North Richland Hills, TX. My husband John and I love our time spent with our children. We are always wishing for more family time... Jacob is our mixed martial artist, Katheryn is our creative artist, and Isaac enjoys the art of bottles and naps! Our three huckleberries are our best treasures.

Family Movies & DVDs
A GREAT family movie that somehow stayed under the radar is 'Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium'. It has a great message- that somehow hits eeverybody differently. Dustin Hoffman's character is full of wit, Justin Bateman is adorable, and Natalie Portman shows another great side to her acting abilities. You can rent it first if you like, but I promise you will end up buying it. Enjoy!
Not Acceptable?Spring
Spring is my daughter's favorite time of year... she gets as excited about the Easter Bunny as anyone would for Santa. Her favorite color is yellow and she loves to be outside. It fits her personality so well. The rest of the family loves fall and winter. She is our independent, bright little sunshine. Spring means more to me now that she loves it so much!
Not Acceptable?Parent Moments: Timing the Telling
I am a "teller" for certain, but every "Mommy" and every family and every child is different. Mom and Dad must trust their instincts and discuss their needs for privacy to search out the proper timing of sharing the wonderful news. I am a mother of four, but just three of my precious babies made it in to this world. I found out EARLY every time and shared the news with great enthusiasm right away. But my Baby Rain (5/05) was taken back to heaven... Having already shared the happy news of the pregnancy, I had to share the terrible news of the loss. This was both difficult and comforting, because friends and family were able to be supportive, but I will tell you that it made us appreciate each other as a family so much more. I would not change the way we celebrated our babies or mourned our loss. Every moment matters!
