My Quote
"Raising children is hard. Be sure to make the time to laugh."
About Me
I recently had a dream where I was a wife to a collegiate golf coach, mother of two, and a freelance writer and author. Turns out, I wasn't dreaming. Learn more about me on Mama Wants More.
About My Family
I am raising two boys: the 5-year-old Cheese Eater and the 2-year-old Bald-Headed Monkey. Our favorite things are sharing popcorn, predicting thunderstorms, fresh sandboxes, craft time, game night, playing outside, and whenever Daddy gets home.

Parent Moments: United Chaos
My 3-year-old tipped the puzzle over, and all 50 states came crashing down onto the kitchen floor into one big pile of united chaos. "Mommy, you do it," my son informed me. I looked up at my mother with a thankless smile, knowing that I would be spending most of the evening brushing up on my U.S. geography.

Cheesy Chicken Taco Bake
I make something similar called Taco Spaghetti. Brown your meat and onions, toss in black olives, one can of corn, a half cup of salsa, a half of a package of taco seasoning, can of green chilies, and 10 ounces of cooked spaghetti. Pour into a casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees until heated through (about 15-20 minutes.) Top with cheese, lettuce, and corn chips. My kids love this dish! Hope yours will too.

Planes, trains, and automobiles
I knew that it was probably a bad idea to leave town when the day before I left my child threw up.
I was already having some anxious feelings about leaving and my child getting sick only made those feelings worsen. But...the non-refundable airplane ticket had been purchase months before and I had really been looking forward to this trip. I was leaving my children at home with my mother to join the Golfer on a business trip. Even though he'd... Read MoreMoving on...
So after thirty long days (and I do mean long), we are finally taking possession of our new house today. This is the third house that I've bought in my adult life, and I have to say that it has been the most stressful. But, as I have heard it said before, "to whom much is given, much more is required."
I can now safely say that I officially hate packing. We have now moved three times in the last two years, and... Read MoreSunday dinner--nothing more satisfying.
I decided yesterday afternoon that I wanted to make a good, old fashioned Sunday dinner.
I was inspired by a new website that I discovered, ThePioneerWoman.com. I think why I find her website so interesting is that she is living a totally different life than I am.
I live in a big city. She lives on a working cattle ranch.
I have two kids. She has four.
