My family is: 1)A daughter who loves a good knock-knock joke, asks to be tickled daily, has been reading since the age of 3, and is currently really into science, Hannah Montana and High School Musical, 2)Two dogs, one who has a panic disorder and licks too much, and another who pretends he's a guard dog and barks at everything, 3)A Mom who thinks she's got a pretty sweet deal going on, and is grateful for all three of them.

Bedfellows
Mornings are my favorite time with my daughter. She never wakes up grumpy, just sweet and cuddly as she surfaces from the sleeping. It's in the mornings that she calls me "Mama", not "Mom" or the two-syllable "MO-OM!!" laced with exasperation. It's in the mornings when I can still cuddle the chubby baby that I haven't seen for six years. If only mornings could last longer.
Not Acceptable?Marathon
Your "bum bum cuckoo clock" cracked me up. My daughter has a little "bum" thing, too... whenever I tell her "super cute bum!" (which it is), she responds by turning around and shaking her butt to a little samba beat. It still cracks me up every time I see it.
