What I've Been Talking About

A Story About:

Biting

July 17, 2007

Bitting at age three is not good no matter what docter says its a just a phase. Bitting should be nipped in the butt right aways. Of course no corpral punishment! But deffinatly no bitting till there three or four! NO WAY..
Eventhough parenting has gotten lax in my opion since the 90's came around. The fact of the matter is we are so lax and now have studys saying its ok. We have gone to the other side of the spectrum with rasing kids again. Bitting is a NO NO and always will be a NO NO. You dont say well sorry when you take your children to daycare family memebers or friends and say, "Sory my son bitts and is ok because it just a phase we might have up to three years of bitting." Hold on for the ride cause it wil be fun. A simple no painful tap on the mouth after child bit work great my children bit for a week on and off and never had this issue again. Nothin painfull just something that the child at that age can relate to with you as the authority figure. They dont realy understand words enough at 11 and 12 Mos to disapline with words by 3 if the child is still having issue with yes words should work fine

However my point is if it was nipped in the butt when is started with the child it would never make it to three. If it dose i do beleive at this point it definatly could be related to something else no a phase. The phase shouldnt last more than a mounth with the appropriate action's taken when the issue happens.
I have a 3 and 6 year old no bitter screamers tantrums bad languese ect. Due the way they were raised. When the issue come up they are delt with at the time. If we have any type of relaps the issue will be delt with at that time in more upfront way to help children understand that this is no something that is ok.

Your story and comments are appreciated, but your opinion may be more effective if you could express yourself in a better manner. Your lack of correctness in spelling and grammar makes your comments hard to read and understand. It's hard to get your point across or give helpful advice if the reader is annoyed by not being able to understand you from the outset.
