"Fly Away Home" – It's neither set in Wisconsin nor does it feature its resident cranes, but watching this film before visiting the International Crane Foundation will remind kids of the extraordinary lengths people can take to help out an endangered species.

Fudge – Like many Midwestern tourist towns, fudge shops abound in the Wisconsin Dells (the first shop, Original Wisconsin Dells Fudge, is still open today).

"Crane Crossing" – Follow The Wild Thornberrys in flight as they help a flock of whooping cranes migrate south for the winter using a plane much like the real ones used by the International Crane Foundation to guide whooping cranes to their winter homes. (Ages 9-12)
"B is for Badger: A Wisconsin Alphabet Edition" – Engaging artwork and lyrical text teach kids about the history and culture of the Badger State. (Ages 4-8)
"Wisconsin Trivia" – Discover how well you know (or don't know) Wisconsin with fun tidbits about culture, history, and pop culture. (Teens)
"Mountain Wolf Woman: A Ho-Chunk Girlhood" – A biographical account of a Native American girl growing up in Wisconsin at the turn of the 20th century. (Ages 9-12)
Jet Boats – You haven't truly experienced the Dells if you don't spend at least some time on the water. Here's a great way to get kids excited about cruising on the Wisconsin River.
Paper Log Cabin – Even if you don't visit the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed cabin in nearby Mirror Lake State Park, you'll probably see a log cabin or log-cabin-themed resort while in the Dells. Design and build your own paper replica.
