Mt. Washburn Hike Description
Crossing through a field of wildflowers, the hike up to Mt. Washburn is one of the most popular in Yellowstone. Two trails, each 3 miles long, stretch to the summit where expansive views of the park are most spectacular on clear summer days. When the winds kick up, you can still take in the beauty from an enclosed observation area. During the summer, look out for Bighorn sheep on the upper parts of the trails.
