Stagecoach Adventure & Old West Cookout Description
Grab a taste of the Old West -- literally -- with a ride on a horse-drawn, canvas-covered wagon. Your destination will be an authentic cowboy cookout steak dinner in Pleasant Valley. Since dusk is a great time to spy wildlife, make sure your kids keep their eyes peeled for bison, elk (or perhaps an elusive Yellowstone gray wolf) along the way. When you get there, your driver might turn out to be a singing cowboy (complete with guitar) who will entertain guests over dinner. Families enjoy the rustic 30-45 minute ride (on padded seats) from Roosevelt Lodge arriving for dinner around 6 p.m. Guests return to Roosevelt between 8 and 8:30 p.m.

Kid Tips
Babies: The stagecoach ride will probably lull babies to sleep, so have a sling handy to make it comfy for them.
Toddlers & Pre-K: Kids under five can ride free on a parent's lap and share a plate; you'll want to pay the children's rate for big eaters, however.
School-Age Kids: Kids this age will love feeling like a part of history, especially if they're into cowboys or Little House on the Prairie.
Pre-Teens & Teens: This age group might opt to travel to the cookout on horseback instead. Check the website for rates (minimum age 8 and 4 feet in height).
Planning Notes
- Dress in layers. It can get chilly once the sun sets in Yellowstone, so be sure to bring fleece sweatshirts or jackets for evening.
- Vegetarians fear not. Meatless meals are available with advance notice.
