Wizard Quest Description
Kids from toddlers to teens love a great mystery, and Wizard Quest not only delivers but makes the kids the heroes of the story. After being given magic "wands" (actually data-encoded wrist bands) upon entering through a "secret" doorway, each wizard in need of rescue introduces him or herself to players on separate video screens. Then another secret doorway opens (in classic Scooby Doo style, behind a bookshelf), and kids enter a magical realm complete with clues to where the wizards are hidden. Parents can choose the level of difficulty for their family's quest so older kids won't become bored and younger kids can feel like dragon slayers.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Younger kids may be too frightened to go down the unlit, dark tube slides that descend to the realms on the bottom floor; fortunately, a sign points to stairs for "the faint of heart and wide of bottom." To avoid painful collisions, keep a close watch on toddlers in the hall of mirrors in the Earth realm.
School-Age Kids: Don't be surprised if your child sends mom or dad into the troll's tunnel for a funny (and smelly) surprise for "feeding" the trolls.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The different experience levels of Wizard Quest can be challenging even for adults, so teenagers will certainly enjoy searching for clues in each realm.
Planning Notes
- Check your progress. Kids scan their wristband "wands" at computer kiosks located on the bottom level to see how close they are to mastering the game.
- Facilities on site. Restrooms and a drinking fountain are located on the lower level.
- Be prepared to crawl around. The quest includes passage through various tunnels and tube slides.
