Crossroads at Big Creek Description
A half-hour stroll through the forested trails at the Crossroads at Big Creek gets kids up close and personal with more nature than most probably see in a year. Birds and deer, forests and streams, wetlands and meadow — it's all represented in this 115-acre nature preserve, complete with miles of trails for walking, biking and cross-country skiing. And there's more than birds and trees: Kds can learn about life at the turn of the 20th century in the historic village or marvel at far-away galaxies in the Leif Everson observatory.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Watch your little ones on the trail, since hikers and bicyclists share the same path.
School-Age Kids: Make sure big kids know they're not to remove anything from the trails or grounds.
