A giant cow and a play structure shaped like a ice cream cone is just the first inkling that kids are in for a sweet treat. Try the farm tour: Kids love watching the huge cows getting milked and especially trying their hand at "milking" a mechanical cow. During the summer and fall, a scenic corn maze offers a fun way for little kids to get lost, and enough challenge to keep big kids interested. Cap off your visit with a dish of world-class ice cream or some fabulous fudge.
Kid Tips
Babies: For the corn maze, plan on carrying babies in a sling or pack carrier.
Toddlers & Pre-K: The farm tour may not thrill the younger set, but the outdoor playground and a trip to the ice cream parlor will delight little ones and make for a worthwhile stop.
Planning Notes
- Plan to walk. If you want to do the corn maze, keep in mind you might be in there for a couple of hours, and the ground may be soggy. Wear sturdy, comfortable shoes or hiking boots.
