Museum of Flight Description
Aviation fanatics of all ages will be in heaven at the Museum of Flight. Teens will love the six flight simulators (especially the Top Gun simulator), plus over 50 mint-condition airplanes, including America's first Air Force One, an F/A-18 Hornet, and the West Coast's only Concorde. Younger kids will enjoy the Blue Angel that they can "ride" in, and the "Flight Zone," where they can strap into a harness for a hang gliding simulation or ride in a hot air balloon basket. There's also a good caf‚ and a unique gift shop.
Kid Tips
Babies: The museum is stroller-friendly and quiet with several out-of-the-way benches.
Toddlers & Pre-K: Head to the Flight Zone! Young toddlers will enjoy playing with airplane toys on a soft runway floor mural, and preschoolers get a kick out of the hang-gliding simulation.
School-Age Kids: Airplanes! Airplanes! Airplanes! There's no shortage of planes for little pilots to sit in, climb on, and pilot.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The Top Gun Flight Simulator puts teens in the cockpit of a fighter jet.
