Cruz Bay Description
Take a splashy, breezy ferry ride to St. John and watch eyes widen as you dock at the sorbet-colored Wharfside Village, a complex of boutiques, restaurants, and galleries. Roam its outdoor corridors, sip fresh-ingredient concoctions at Joe's Rum Hut (perched shore-side so the kids can romp, stroll, and even swim). Walk over to the venerable Mongoose Junction, whose stone buildings host local art, apparel, jewelry, and open-air restaurants. A contrast to the bustle of Charlotte Amalie, Cruz Bay is more sedate, with unique boutiques and minimal traffic.

School-Age Kids: The soft-serve ice cream may be their favorite purchase. Head to I Scream at Wharfside -- just stroll the corridors and you'll find it.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Don't want to shop? Dinghies, kayaks, even a large power boat are available for rent at Wharfside Village.
