Zion Lodge Gift Shop Description
The Zion Lodge is both a nice place to hang out (you don't have to be a guest to enjoy their lobby, play chess at the tables set up in front of the big bay windows, or use any of their other facilities, including free spring water to fill up your bottles) and a great place to find souvenirs from your trip to southern Utah. Their gift shop has everything from Native American jewelry to little park ranger outfits for kids of all ages (babies get stuffed tigers; toddlers get sunglasses and binoculars). Since there has been a lodge in Zion National Park for nearly a century (built on the site of the Zion Farm, after which the valley was named), this is also a historic landmark.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: The gift shop may be too full of breakables for this set, but the broad lawn provides a perfect place for the younger ones to toddle around and enjoy themselves.
Planning Notes
- Bring a Frisbee. In addition to the gift shop, there's a lush, shady lawn for romping around in front of the lodge.
- Ride the shuttle. You can't drive up to the lodge unless you're a guest, but free shuttle service makes it convenient to get there.
