Utah Museum of Fine Arts Description
With an impressive collection of American artists (John Singer Sargent, Benjamin West, and the like) and a variety of spectacular paintings, this kid-friendly art museum is a cool way to spend a hot summer afternoon and a warm place to spend a snowy winter morning. Choose an activity backpack when you arrive based on your family's interests (Greek and Roman art, American art, and European Art are just a few of the choices), and do activities—like necklace making or clay sculpture—inspired by what you see and learn in the museum.

Pre-Teens & Teens: The museum has an impressive permanent collection and hosts world famous traveling exhibits. Check out highlights from the permanent collection online before you go to decide what you want to see.
Planning Notes
- Visit on the third Saturday of the month. The museum has specially designed family activities.
- Validation with your ticket. Keep your ticket stub and use it for parking.
- Skip the double stroller. There's not enough space in the museum's walkways for the double-wide.
- Best for kids 5 and up. Unless your toddler likes looking at art, this venue is best experienced by school-aged kids.
