Lagoon Amusement Park Description
Don't be alarmed if you hear screams when you're exiting the highway—those are cries of enthusiasm for Lagoon Park. Spread over six acres, it has everything from classic kiddie waterpark rides (tube rafting and water slides) to death-defying roller coasters, plus hundreds of arcade games and dozens of food vendors. Although clogged with teenagers on most days, there's also lots to keep the under 50" tall set happy for the day.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: KiddieLand and Castaway Island are where it's at for kids 3 to 5.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The X Adventure Zone, which includes the Double Thunder Raceway, Top Eliminator, and Skycoaster rides, is not included in all-day passes.
Planning Notes
- Bring a bathing suit and a towel. Time at Lagoon A Beach, an extensive water play area, is included with the purchase of an all-day pass.
- Check for specials. Check soft drink cans or ask your hotel for discount coupons.
- Camp and slide. Visitors can stay overnight in the RV park or campground, which has a store, laundry facilities, restrooms with showers, pay phones, and a sandwich shop.
- Go on Sunday. Since so many locals observe the Sabbath, the park tends to be less crowded on Sundays.
