It's not easy finding sweatshirts in Houston, probably because it's hot as blazes at certain times of the year, making fleece a bit impractical. Visitors who need to keep warm when they return to other parts of the country will be happy to find the abundant sweatshirts in stock here. Logos like "Houston" and "Texas" might not measure up to more noteworthy monikers like Louis Vuitton and Versace (also in the mall), but you get to go home with a bona fide Houston souvenir (other tchotchkes like snow globes, pens, tote bags, and the like are available, too) that you won't have to mortgage your house to pay for.
Kid Tips
School-Age Kids: For Texas kids, this is a great way to liven up those de rigueur history lessons; out-of-state kids (and their parents) will enjoy it just as much.
Planning Notes
- Price tags. Sweatshirts start at $25; T-shirts at $10.
- Treasure hunt. The Galleria is huge. How huge? Two hotels, countless places to eat, and nearly 400-stores, plus an ice skating rink. Finding any particular store could take hours without consulting a map; thankfully, they're in abundance.
