Kimball Museum Description
A stunning collection of masterpieces in a small but excellent museum that's a great first-time experience for younger children and a wealth of "wows" for older kids who might be studying art in school. A huge, hand-carved Italian nativity scene is displayed over the holidays and will keep little ones entranced for ages, while the permanent collecetion of just 350 pieces reads like a Who's Who in the art world, from the ancient Egyptian mummy masks to Fra Angelico panel and more.
Kid Tips
Babies: The museum is completely accessible for strollers.
Toddlers & Pre-K: Totally appropriate for them as you can do a quick run through — and even be satisfied with such a short visit.
