Amon Carter Museum Description
Filled with treasures from American artists, the Amon Carter is an art history book come to life. The top names in American art are displayed here, from Eakins and Homer to O'Keeffe and Singer Sargent. Especially stunning is the collection of works from Frederic Remington and Charles Russell — a passion of Mr. Carter, who had a bit of friendly competition going with his friend and fellow collector Sid Richardson to collect as many works from these masters of the Western life.
Kid Tips
Babies: Galleries are wide, so there's plenty of space for strolling.
Toddlers & Pre-K: Unless they show a real interest in art, this is a skip for anyone younger than 11, as there are no activities to engage young children, save for the occasional art cart.
School-Age Kids: This age range will be most entertained at the science museum and the aquarium.
