Inner Space Cavern Description
There are caves...and then there are Texas caves. Like everything else in the Lone Star state, this one is big, mostly owing to the Balcones fault that runs under much of the area. Kids will be awed by Inner Space's Cathedral Room that, at 70 yards long and 100 feet high, could only have been built by Mother Nature. Daring souls can opt for true spelunking, trips taking you into caves less traveled, sometimes on hands and knees. Be warned: there are no lights but your flashlight, and you're bound to get pretty dirty. Then again, that's part of the fun.
Kid Tips
Babies: You'll have to carry small children in a backpack or in your arms, as strollers are not allowed. Take one of the Adventure Tours only.
Toddlers & Pre-K: Opt for the standard tour as the darkness may be overwhelming.
