Texas Memorial Museum Description
Kids have several giant-sized reasons for loving this Texas institution. One of them is the mosasaur, a 35-foot dinosaur which swam the earth back when most of Texas was under water. It's just one of thousands of prehistoric fossils that lead kids to call this place the Dinosaur Museum. A working paleontologist is available to answer questions, and budding entomologists will relish the bug exhibit, complete with big, icky beetles.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Technically, the museum is for ages 8 and up. You might not get much more than an enthusiastic "ooh" from a younger kid. But, it's never too early to get them excited about science.
