Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Description
Rhinestone cowboys -- and cowgirls -- are Nashville's stock in trade, and nowhere are the rhinestones in more abundance than among the costumes and props displayed here. The exhibition of original instruments, recordings, and photographs gives a vivid sense of country music's history and its impact on American culture.
Kid Tips
Babies: Stroller-friendly, as long as you avoid the most crowded times.
Toddlers & Pre-K: Make a quick pass, focusing on glittery costumes and props.
School-Age Kids: Focus on the backstories of the stars, particularly those with hard-luck childhoods.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Kids this age will love the Elvis mugs, guitar-shaped fly-swatters, and other music-themed merchandise.
Planning Notes
- Check out the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge afterwards. Combine your visit with a walk across the newly restored and reopened bridge, which has its western end right near the museum.
