More than 10 miles of the Ocoee River awaits those adventurous enough to ride the rapids -- with helmets and life vests, of course. Choose from a variety of trips -- the upper or middle river, and even an extreme, full-day adventure that includes lunch. Rustic log cabins, hiking trails, and mountain bikes are available at this full-service outfitter.

Planning Notes
- Over 12, please. The age requirement for each of the adventures, no matter the course, is 12 years old.
- Wet doesn't equal protected. Sunscreen is a must, even in the off-season. Just because you're cool doesn't mean you're not going to get a sunburn.
- Bring a change of clothing. You'll start in one area and end up a few miles away, so everyone should pack a change of clothing (including shoes) into a small backpack to take along.
- Beat the Summer Crowds. Visit in fall and get an added treat of looking up at bright red, orange, and yellow leaves that these mountains are known for.
