Charleston Waterfront Park Description
Here is your perfect picnic spot! Imagine family-sized swings on a pier jutting into Charleston Harbor and a large fountain to cool down overheated kids. This eight-acre park built along the entry to the harbor provides grassy areas, picnic tables, shady trees, and a lovely view. This is the natural spot for kids to burn off some energy and recharge with a picnic lunch.

Babies: There are plenty of benches where you can relax with a baby, as well as grass areas that are good for crawlers.
School-Age Kids: Play "I-Spy." You'll certainly spot ships, and you might even spot a dolphin or two.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Look for the plaques near the pier that tell how the topography in the area has changed in the last 400 years.
