Ryan Family Arcade Description
Count on kids to be magnetically drawn to this colorful facade along the main drag near Newport's harbor—it's got their names written all over it. The cute carnival exterior belies its size, with so many beeping, bopping, pinging games (three floors worth) that kids still talk about the place months after their vacation is over ("It is the best arcade ever!" says one 15-year-old). Even better: it's a great place to go when the beaches are too rainy to play.
Kid Tips
Pre-Teens & Teens: It's heaven on earth. The favorite game: Dance Dance Revolution, which also nets the longest wait.
Planning Notes
- Token reward. Games are operated with tokens that can be purchased with cash or credit. Tokens are worth about 20 cents each (based on buying 96 for $20), with one to four tokens per game.
