Reviews of Aaron & Jessica's Buggy Rides
better buggy rides out there

What we loved:
nothing
What we didn't love:
too commercialized
My family and I went to take a buggy ride at aaron and Jessicas while vacationing in Lancaster county. Well, when we arrived they were unable to give us an estimate on the wait on either a buggy or wagon ride. We requested the buggy ride and were sent to wait at the picnic tables. In 45 minutes of waiting only one buggy went out, while three wagons had departed. Wagons held about 12 people while buggys about 5. It had become apparent quite quickly that they wanted to fill wagons much more quickly then buggys due to fact they would make more money on wagons. After 50 minutes our name was called and we were escorted to a wagon, when I explained that we wanted a buggy we were told to go have a seat. The problem is when they called us for a wagon, they crossed our name off the list and when we were sent to sit back down our name was never uncrossed. So after sitting for over one hour I questioned the staff and noticed my name had been crossed off the list. The girl taking the reservations lied to us making excuses that she was new, they were short of drivers and so on. It wasnt until I let her know I had seen that our name was crossed off did she admit to their mistake. She went to talk with one of the drivers, who said he needed to talk to the "Boss" because they were short on drivers and did not know if he would be able to take out only a party of four. Back to the apparent lets fill those wagons so we can make double the money. By the way, even after the "Boss" was explained the situation he basically said wagon or nothing. No buggy for us!! We went down the road and had a very pleasant true buggy ride and were told that aaron and Jessicas is not even owned by the Amish. Oh yeah, they hire Amish. That is what we were told. They even told us they have had many complaints about aaron and Jessicas. In addition, the couple in front of us at the other buggy ride told us they left aaron and jessicas due to first their wait time and then their abruptness. Read More

What we loved:
I loved it all!
What we didn't love:
I love it all!!
Aaron & Jessicas Buggy Ride was the best. The country side was breath taking! Being able to see the Amish farm with horses and old time equipment. We were on roads that only horse and buggies traveled. There was no commercial farming like we are use to. We got to tour the inside of an Amish Home and their barns. The Amish children were selling cookies, lemon aid and Amish Crafts. Our driver was very friendly and taught us all about Amish life. We also went past several Amish stores like the quilt shop, and a wood stove store, a blacksmith store. We saw an old stone church built 1724. I can go on and on. You must experience it for yourself. We will use Aaron & Jessicas when we return to Lancaster County/ Thank you!!!! Read More
