Hershey Park Description
Amusement parks are great. Chocolate is great. Marry them and you have a place that's just about as close to Willy Wonka's vision as you're going to find. Add a new boardwalk-inspired water park and ZooAmerica, which features animals native to North America, and you have a full-fledged adventure on your hands. Don't miss the sea lion show, and be sure to hit Chocolate World on your way out: there's a 3-D theater and you can assemble your own bag of Hershey Kisses.

Kid Tips
Babies: Forgot the baby food? No worries. Many eateries sell organic baby food.
Toddlers & Pre-K: There are a number of gentle rides for little ones.
School-Age Kids: Too big? Too small? A candy-themed height rating system helps parents know which rides are appropriate.
Pre-Teens & Teens: It doesn't get better than this for the middle-school and high school set. There are enough coasters and water rides to thrill older kids.
Planning Notes
- Summer is busy. Less crowded times generally include Sundays through Thursdays in May and June. Saturdays are the busiest days.
- You may need more than a day. With three features in one -- amusement park, zoo, and water park -- as well as shows and special attractions, you could easily spendmore than one day at Hershey Park. Lodging is available nearby.
- The park is hilly. There are times when you might look at the steep hill ahead and say, "Are you kidding?" Of course, your kids will charge onward, undaunted. Wear comfortable shoes.
- No smoking in most places. The park has restricted smoking areas, limiting exposure to second-hand smoke.
- Fido can come, too. If you brought your pooch on vacation, you can board him or her for the day at the animal kennel located on the park premises. Pets are not allowed in the park, however.

What we loved:
This place smells like Chocolate!
What we didn't love:
The places to eat. The food pricey and not that good.
We have be going to Hershey Park and Chocolate World for years. Who would like a ride that gives you chocolate at the end? Many Big coasters,New Water Park area and Shows. You also get admission to Zoo America with your park Admission. This is a nice little zoo with in-door and out-door habitats. They also have Halloween and Christmas events. Read More

Coasters and shows

Food could be better
Hershey is just a great place for everyone. I have a season pass there, and have had one for about five years not. Everyone can have a good time whether you are 7 or 70. The shows are really good and there are tons of rides for kids. With the addition of their water park last year, there really is more than a full day's worth of attractions. And this year with the new coaster should make it even harder to get it all done in one day. Hershey is a great place for chocolate and rides!Read More
More Coasters, Please!

What we loved:
The large array of coasters for all ages and fright levels
What we didn't love:
The line for the Flowrider was way too long. Get more Flowriders!
I think I hit every coaster in the park, and the niblings tried some of the bigger ones for the first time. I think we did Thunder & Lightning four times -- and Lightning always seemed to win. They loved being in the separate coasters and racing -- and I got some great video of me and Carly in one car while Quentin came whizzing by in the other. We just couldn't get enough of the coasters. Oh, and the new water park was pretty killer too, although someone needs to figure out how to make the lines go faster. Read More
