Oaks Amusement Park Description
This old-fashioned (yet updated) amusement park is a lot of fun for everyone. Surrounded by oak trees (hence the name) here are state-of-the art thrill rides, bumper cars, kiddy rides, the works. There's also an old-fashioned roller-skating rink that's open year round (the park itself is open all summer and on weekends in the spring and early fall).
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: There's a Ferris wheel, a super slide, a carousel, a family roller coaster, and rides geared toward the under-48" set so there's lots for the little ones to do (including skating during the week for kids ages 6 and under). Enchanted Forest may be a better choice for a toddling first-timer, though.
School-Age Kids: A school child's paradise.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The park has several thrill rides, like the Looping Thunder Roller Coaster. But if that's not good enough, a new coaster called the Disk'O has you ride as if you're on a motorcycle.
Planning Notes

- Special preschool discounts. In summer and early fall, on Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings, the park offers a great deal for preschoolers and is free for their adult companions. They also give out milk and cookies and have story time.
