Crystal Traditions Description
Thanks to an abundance of natural gas, the town of Tiffin has a long history of fueling glass furnaces to make beautiful works of art that are both useable and decorative. Watch artisan Eric Cromwell lift dripping molten glass from the blistering hot furnace, then blow and shape it into beautiful pieces of useable art. Master cutter and designer Aidan Scull uses spinning wheels set on a lathe to painstakingly cut intricate designs into plates, windows, and ornaments. The shop in front showcases works to buy, including the crystal pattern that both Princess Grace of Monaco and Elvis Presley chose for their own homes.
