Cedar Point Description
Famous for its roller coasters, Cedar Point has been an Ohio attraction since the late 1800s. But don't expect old-fashioned amusements; the park has kept pace with the times and offers world-class rides. Be sure to check out the Top Thrill Dragster, a 120-mph roller coaster that shoots up 420 feet and twists back down in 17 seconds. You'll find traditional favorites, too, like merry-go-rounds (three!), the Scrambler, and Sky Ride gondolas that cross from one side of the park to the other. Cedar Point also has water parks, fairway-style games, and live entertainment.

Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: The park has several areas designed for younger kids, including a preschool-sized roller coaster in Snoopy's Campground.
Planning Notes
- Bring your own food. Sure, you'll want to splurge on a gigantic elephant ear (deep-fried dough sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon), but you'll eat healthier and more cheaply if you pack your own food.
- Look for the "Thrill Factor." The numbers posted at each ride's entrance will help you figure out who should ride it.
- Go early to avoid lines. The park fills up as the day goes on.
- Map out your day. You probably won't be able to see everything in one day so plan your route first thing to hit your don't-miss attractions.

Reviews of Cedar Point
HalloWeekends disappoints.
By calicochicken October 04, 2010
What we loved:
The haunted houses were ok, I guess.
What we didn't love:
Onnly ONE major coaster open!
Halloweekends was terrible! (10-3-2010) I have never been so angry at a business in my life. I brought my oldest son there for some mommy-son time. When we go with his little siblings he doesn't get all the rides he wants in. I knew that there would be some rides down. I expected some kiddie rides and the water rides to not be working. To my surprise, only ONE major roller coaster was open all day. The following rides were closed ALL DAY. Top Thrill Dragster, Millinium Force, Magnum XL, Raptor, Mean Streak, and Gemini! Maverick was open and Mantis opened on and off through the day. We spent all day on the littler rides like Disaster Transport and Iron Dragon. I spent $90 on tickets and drove 2.5 hours for this?! There was no sign walking in to tell you most things were closed. There was nothing on the website that told of the rides closed. Some staff told me there wasn't enough people there to warrent the rides opening. WHAT!? It says right on their website that only select rides were open on Friday but on Sat. and Sun. everything was open. If they would have been honest and said the park was half closed, I would have left for the day and come back another weekend. I think what they did is reprehensible. There are no words for how mad I am. I will be writing reviews on every site I can and making sure my church and schools are aware of their business practices. If you think about going to Halloweekends, concider yourselves warned. I would hate for anyone to get screwed like we did. Read More
Cedar Point: Thrills & Exhiliration
By lolzDude2 March 11, 2010
What we loved:
Everything!
What we didn't love:
Nothing!
Pretty amazing theme park really, especially the Intamin coaster, Top Thrill Dragster, the park's signature ride. I would definately recommend this to thrill seekers, unlike family/kiddie-aimed parks such as All American Fun Park or DelGrosso Amusement Park. For thrills and exhiliration, it's a 10/10 for me! a timeless joyful place to visit
By kwaichang September 23, 2008
What we loved:
size, price and clean
What we didn't love:
location to drive to
Cedar Point was a bright memory from childhood. It was nice to see it's survived the years and still is going strong. The general admission is still reasonable and they still keep the place fairly clean and uncluttered.
I just don't like driving all the way there as now it costs as much as a sale flight to Orlando. :( Oh well, I'll manage. Read More
