Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Description
Six floors of rock 'n' roll memorabilia, information about how much the music annoyed parents of a generation, and headphones that let you listen to music as loud as you like -- teenagers will love absolutely everything about this museum.Younger kids will get a kick out of the costumes (George Clinton's Atomic Dog Slippers are sure to get a giggle), the oversized guitars in the lobby, and the opportunity to act like rock stars (complete with their own paparazzi).
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Young kids will beg to touch and play on some enticing exhibits. The answer to "Mommy, can I go in that car?" as you pass one of Elvis's beauties is always going to be "no," which might prove frustrating for younger kids.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Even non-rock 'n' roll fans will love this museum. It combines history, documentaries, and costumes, and even has a section dedicated to the icons of rap music. Devotees of Guitar Hero will love the tributes in the lobby downstairs and the life-size art renditions upstairs.
Planning Notes
- Check ahead for current exhibits. Themed exhibits are worth planning ahead for, like "Baseball Rocks," which traces the history of the tunes players have loved and the songs devoted to the sport.
- Parents beware. Watch for the signs that warn parents about mature themes and images, and heed them. Anything not behind closed doors is tame enough for all ages.
- No cameras inside. You'll have to check your camera before entering; leave it at the hotel if you'd feel more secure with it in your room safe.
- Deals and discounts. Check the website for combination ticket package that will save you money at other popular sites.

So Much to See
By MaxPowers325 March 30, 2009
What we loved:
the memoribilia, the layout
What we didn't love:
the price...
When you walk up to the building you start to realize that this museum isnt like any others...the outside is almost all glass and is shaped really cool.br/br/As you enter the first room youll notice a glass case with handwritten lyrics from Tom Petty! Im not sure if thats always there but it was really neat to see. Youll soon continue to walk around a see lot of really unique memorabilia from outfits to guitars.br/br/This place probably isnt the best for little kids, but it is great for school-age kids and the adults that still think theyre kids.
