Malaprop's Bookstore Description
Malaprop's is a hip place for book-loving kids and adults in the heart of downtown Asheville. With an eclectic selection of books, knowledgeable booksellers, and a large café, it's no surprise that it's been around for 25 years. The young adult section is appealing enough to distract teenagers from their endless texting. Its "sister shop," Downtown Books and News, a used bookstore, is also a fun place to visit.

Toddlers & Pre-K: The caf is a comfortable place to refuel a hungry preschooler.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Friday night is a great time for a visit, because a drumming circle gathers in nearby Pritchard Park in the warm months.
