Sightseeing Tour
La Zoom Tours Description
There's no more enjoyable way to get to know Asheville than aboard the big, purple, art-deco, bio-diesel-fueled bus. The tour guides tell the story of Asheville's past, present, and future through comedy, music, and costumed characters every bit as wacky as Asheville itself. After the irreverent 90-minute tour, you will know learn how religion, tuberculosis, and debt, among other things, have shaped Asheville, and your kids will wonder why their history class in school doesn't feature stubble-faced nuns and levitating swamis. Most importantly, the tour guides will certainly pass their enthusiasm for Asheville onto you.
Kid Tips
Babies: There are no seatbelts, so car seats cannot be used.
Toddlers & Pre-K: Kids under 5 share a seat with two paying customers. They will love the ride on the bus and the silly tour guides.
School-Age Kids: The tour guides strive to make the tour age-appropriate for all passengers.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Even the most blasé teens will crack a smile on this tour.
Planning Notes
- Take a load off. The tour starts at Asheville Brewing Company. Show up a bit early and relax on the patio, which has some fun games (like a bean-bag target toss) to play.
- Wear a costume. Get in the spirit of the tour and come in costume -- any costume. The wackier the better.
- Tips are appreciated. Bring along a little cash in case you feel so inclined.
