Lowes Motor Speedway Description
Lowes Motor Speedway is home to some big NASCAR races. For a more kid-friendly experience, try the Summer Shootout Series to see entertaining events like CRASHcars, where the cars have names like T-Wrecks and Krashy the Clown (and in a nod to the 12-year-old boy in each of us, they do a lot of crashing). There are "good guys" (well, cars) and "bad guys," and kids can choose a car to root for. Also popular are the school bus races, which will thrill any kid who thinks that his bus driver is crazy.

Toddlers & Pre-K: Even with ear plugs the racing might be too loud for your little one.
School-Age Kids: Extend the fun by planning a trip to the NASCAR SpeedPark so your kids can get in on the action.
Planning Notes
- Protect ears. Bring earplugs. The cars are loud.
- Go on a tour. Race fans will enjoy checking out behind-the-scenes places, like the garage, pit road, and victory circle. You'll even go on a van ride around the track(make sure to bring in the car seat if your child needs one for the van ride).
- More racing. You can visit many race teams' shops in the area to watch mechanics work on the race cars.
