Toddlers & Pre-K: Younger kids will enjoy a small fenced-in toy area where they can play with pint-sized planes, motorcycles, and more.

School-Age Kids: Snap a picture of your kids in the yellow (model) Curtiss "Pusher" and then let them go nuts in the interaction arcade, where they can try aeronautical experiments or build their own machines using Legos.

Pre-Teens & Teens: Creepy artifacts like the wreath made entirely out of human hair or the quirky camper where passengers shower in the kitchen will likely be a hit with teens.

Planning Notes

• Estrogen-friendly environment. Girls who have no interest in planes, trains, or automobiles may still find something of interest here. Curtiss trained the first female aviator and an exhibit in the museum speaks to women's contributions to the field. There is also an annual miniatures exhibit each November (runs through January) during which 30 to 40 dollhouses join a permanent display of tiny treasures.
