Marine Land Description

This water-themed park encourages education about marine life in an amusement park environment. Kids can touch and feed Beluga Whales ($8), then watch killer whales, sea lions, walruses, and dolphins perform before heading off to play on kid-sized rides for a full day of activity. An on-site aquarium includes a freshwater fish display and a chance to watch feeding time for the walruses. Several tanks throughout the park offer underwater views.

Kid Tips

Babies: The park has long, wide paths that are perfect for strollers but also magnets for the sun. Pack an extra blanket and seek out a shady area near the Deer Park for a rest and some tummy time.

Toddlers & Pre-K: They'll love the kiddie-sized rides (all free with paid admission), but be prepared for complaints about all the walking between attractions. Bring a stroller or wagon to transport little ones, a chair for you to sit on, and a cooler with treats and drinks to make the most of this Canadian hallmark.

Pre-Teens & Teens: There are some big-kid rides at this park but it's no Six Flags. It won't take them more than a few hours to announce that they're bored.

Planning Notes

  • Pay once, play all day. The admission is hefty but once inside the only things that cost money are food (for yourself or the animals) and souvenirs. Parking is also free.
  • Let's eat. There are plenty of picnic areas and some charcoal barbecues are available, as well. Bring your own food and avoid the high-priced snacks on-site.
  • Weather woes. Check the forecast before you head out. There aren't many places to avoid the rain and the park may close early due to inclement weather.
