Whirlpool Jet Boats Description

Kids of all ages would gleefully scream their way through most of this 60 mph ride down the Niagara River, but only those ages 6 and older who are more than 44 inches tall can get on. That's a good thing -- this is best suited for older kids who have the body weight and presence of mind to keep themselves in the seat as the large raft navigates the rough waters at high speeds.

Kid Tips

Pre-Teens & Teens: Sure they'll get wet, but if they want to get even wetter have them grab a seat at the front of the boat. They'll be the first to hit the waves and get the best dunking.

Planning Notes

  • Reservations recommended. There are only 48 seats per boat and they book quickly, so reserve ahead of time for a guaranteed spot.
  • Arrive early. Riders must be on-site at least 30 minutes before departure for an on-land briefing and wetsuit fitting.
  • You'll get wet. Riders are outfitted with aqua socks, a full-length zip-up wet suit, and a poncho to wear on board, but don't expect to leave the boat as dry as you came on. Donning your swimsuit for a summer excursion is a good choice, as you may sit in knee- to waist-high water at times. Pack a change of clothes for when the fun is over.
  • Adults on board. Anyone younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult on the ride. Adults with bad backs won't appreciate the hard landings.
