Aji Ichiban Description
Kids will likely be intimidated of this store at first because they are immediately presented with bins and bins of all sorts of dried fish, exotic candy and preserved and salted fruit. As soon as they see the bins of gummy candies they will quickly change their mind. There are at least 10 bins filled to the top with gummies of every sort: sea life, alphabet shapes, sports, fruit, bugs and of course bears. Let the kids grab a bag and choose one from each bin — gummies are a wallet friendly $2.50 for a quarter-pound. Be sure to check out our other Lower East Side & Chinatown vacation ideas.

Kid Tips
School-Age Kids: There is more than gummies to interest the kids — English or rock shaped chocolates and all sorts of Chinese junk food.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The store puts out samples of most everything allowing an adventurous kid a chance to try something out before they plunk down their cash and are disappointed.
