The Puppetworks Description
Puppet shows are a fun and inexpensive way to spend some family time, and Puppetworks' productions are among the best New York City has to offer. This marionette theater has been delighting children and adults for 30 years with top notch adaptations of favorite fairy tales. The puppeteering is absolutely magical here, the best we have ever seen. The marionettes seem to come to life on their tiny stage set with elaborate props, and the drama packed performances are enhanced with music and lighting. In a recent performance of "The Snow Queen" it even snowed on the stage. The cozy little theater is a favorite for local families who pile in each weekend to see the latest productions. Kid Tips
Babies: Although they are welcome -- the shows are geared for older kids and the theater does get dark and loud.
Toddlers & Pre-K: Shows are geared for children aged 3 and up, but for the best experience, children should be able to sit independently from their parents in the dark for about an hour. Adults sit in the back of the theater while the little ones sit up front. Babies can sit on parents' laps.
