The Phantom of the Opera Description

What would you do for love if you've never had it? Winner of seven Tony Awards, The Phantom of the Opera is a timeless Broadway classic about the nature of love, developing one's true talent, and letting love go. Its story is dark and intense, centered on a disfigured opera house ghost's love interest in a beautiful young upstart whom he teaches how to sing. But when she starts to fall for another man, the Phantom's jealousy and anger infest the theater, with dangerous implications. The special effects of the Phantom appearing and reappearing and rowing through an on-stage river have been dazzling audiences for more than 20 years.

Kid Tips

Toddlers & Pre-K: Children younger than 4 are not permitted in the theatre.

School-Age Kids: Children younger than 8 may be frightened by the darker, violent elements of the story and staging.

Pre-Teens & Teens: Since it's not a modern story (it's set in the late 1800s/early 1900s), younger teens may find it not as exciting as more modern-set Broadway shows, but most teens find the show memorable.
