The Lion King Description

More than 50 million people worldwide have discovered a visual feast of colorful costumes, lively dancing, and spirited characters in the Broadway prodution of The Lion King. The brilliant opening number sets the stage to unfold the show's life-affirming theme of setting out on a journey to find one's place in the "Circle of Life." New songs added to the original animated version carry the story through Simba's triumphant return and transformation from unruly, impatient cub to mature and responsible lion with the help of his friends and their popular motto: "Hakuna Matata" ("No worries").

Kid Tips

Toddlers & Pre-K: Disney live theatrical shows are recommended for age 6 and older. Younger children may have difficulty staying focused at a full-length Broadway show.

School-Age Kids: Children will delight in seeing the characters they know and love come to life on the stage, and they will be amazed by the majestic procession of animal characters through the aisles of the theatre.

Pre-Teens & Teens: A wonderful introduction to the power of live theatre, "The Lion King" will also connect with young adults as a coming-of-age story.
