Your kids will stare in awe at the massive billboards amid the neon lights, towering hotels, and high-priced souvenir shops that define Times Square, which is Midtown's leading attraction. The sheer energy of this neighborhood is exciting; the pace, decidedly frantic; the sidewalks, usually packed: Hold your children's hands just a little tighter here.

Once a seedy part of town, the theater district and Times Square have been cleaned up and revitalized. The prime attractions are the Broadway theaters, which draw visitors (and big-name stars) from around the globe to experience world-class, oh-wow stage productions for kids and adults alike. Times Square is also home to the world-famous New Year's Eve countdown celebration and ball-drop.
