Metropolitan Museum of Art Description
Children may not have a sophisticated understanding of art, but they do love mummies, which you can see when you take your kids straight to the Temple of Dendur upon entering this famous New York museum. Done with your tour of ancient Egypt? Divide and conquer -- maybe Mom takes her fashionista child to gape at the costume exhibits while dad and his protégé examine arms and armor. Meet up later and find one of the Met's Family Greeters (they wear bright red aprons) to help you navigate the rest of the museum (assuming you've still got energy to spare).
